Details-
The Hotel Wolf is a former residence dating back over
500 years. It is located in the Old Town of Salzburg and only a short walk to the major
sights. While the lobby is small it has traces of Old World
charm, particularly the vaulted door and ceilings. This same charm spreads throughout the
halls and other public areas. Guest rooms are medium to large in size and
have very nice touches mixed with some average accents. The pink Formica headboard and the '70s TV stand stick out in my
mind as regrettable. Otherwise the rooms
have all the amenities you need. The bathrooms have either a tub
(with hand shower) or an enclosed shower. The breakfast room offers a large buffet
in its light and airy surrounding.
Notes-
This
is a good choice for Salzburg if you want to be in the Old Town. It is the least expensive of our
recommendations. Like most of Salzburg, you must park about 10 minutes away from
the hotel in a public lot.
Quotes-
“If you are looking for something in the Old
Town, this hotel is a worthy option with a friendly staff.”
Steven Hurley, December 2002
