Details-
The
Academy is located in the Bloomsbury area of London, very close to the
British Museum and only a short distance from Theatreland. There has
been an explosion of interest in London's boutique hotels and this is a
very solid member of that category. The building is comprised of five houses
linked together to make one large space which has the feel of
a luxurious Georgian Town House. The lobby is beautiful and includes touches
that are reminiscent of the south of France. There is an on
site bar and restaurant, and two private gardens to help you relax with
a drink away from the bustle of city life.
Notes- Be
aware that this is a four star property and comes
with the price and all the amenities of that status. The 49 rooms and suites include wireless
broadband, Egyptian cotton bed linens, bathrobes and slippers, CD player
with music library, mini bar and safe, 24 room service and concierge, the
list goes on. If you are looking for luxury in a smaller more intimate
hotel, you will not be disappointed.
Quotes-
"Absolutely beautiful! If you are on a limited budget
then you may have to pass, but they do offer some weekend and multi
night deals that could be tempting. Check them out." Steven Hurley,
October 2003.
