Details-
The
Colonnade Townhouse is an 1850's home in the wonderful Little Venice area
of London. The neighborhood is so charming and the property so
comfortable that you could easily call it home for a long stay. While very
residential compared to much of London, the quiet neighborhood and hotel is very
close to the Metro, and only minutes from the Heathrow Express. Many
of the 43 rooms and suites are split level and are named after famous
people. For example there is the Freud Suite, which is located in a
room where he slept in 1938. There is also the JFK suite which
features a bed that was made for his state visit in 1962!
Of
course the bathrooms are beautiful, and the public areas are decorated as
befits an elegant residence.
Notes-
All rooms include wireless
broadband, email access, personal voice mail, bathrobes and slippers, CD player,
fresh fruit and turndown service. The hotel wants you to feel so much
at home that they even provide personalized business cards for each guest.
Note that this is a four star property, and another example of luxury in a
small intimate hotel.
Quotes-
"An amazingly beautiful property in the canal lined
neighborhood of London's 'Little Venice'. You'll love staying
here." Roger Tinsman,
October 2003.
