Details- This
small Victorian Hotel dates back to 1848 and is located in the stylish
neighborhood of South Kensington London. While technically a hotel,
it has the feel of a B&B. The rooms are average size with private bathroom, TV, Ironing Board, trouser press, fridge and
hair dryer. There is not much to speak of in terms of a lobby, but
there is a very bright conservatory that serves as the breakfast room.
In warmer months this room opens onto a small patio for guests to use throughout the day.
Notes-
The
pleasant location of this hotel is one of its finest points. The
rooms are individually decorated in traditional period furnishings, but we
found them overall just a bit frumpy. In previous years this hotel has received
the "Best Small Hotel in London" award.
Quotes-
"A fine option in this expensive city!" Steven Hurley,
October 2003.
