Details- This
hotel has been serving ales and food in Stratford upon Avon since the 15th Century, nearly 100
years before William Shakespeare was born. Today the hotel has one
of the best locations in Stratford and offers heaps of Old World charm and
simple accommodation. Public spaces are filled with oak wood
paneling, low beamed ceilings, a large fireplace and antique
furnishings. The rooms, however, are more varied in both size and decor. Many of the
rooms are contemporary while a few very special rooms offer a similar
old world charm to that found in the lobby. All of the rooms seem a
bit worn, but completely acceptable for this price range and ideal location. The on site pub and restaurant
are a fine choice, making the dinner-stay options a good thing to
consider.
