Details- It is difficult to find a nice hotel room at a really good price in central Prague.  There are lots of over priced (albeit very nice) hotels, and of course small apartments or rooms for rent.  But if you want a hotel and price is your main concern you need look no further.  The U Tri Bubnu is made up of two small buildings dating back to the 15th century and was converted to a small, simple, yet comfortable hotel in 2002.  The hotel is centrally located very close to Old Town Square and Charles Bridge.

Notes- In all there are 17 rooms and one large 6 bed suite (great for families).  The furnishings are quite simple but seem to fit the Old World building style.  Some of the rooms have interesting wood beam ceilings, particularly those in the attic.  Each of the rooms has a private bath with simple toiletries.  All rooms have TV, phone and minibar.  Please note that the hotel is not air conditioned and there is no elevator.  Some of the rooms are up a couple of flights if winding stairs.

Quotes-  "Simple and basic, a fine choice if you are looking for a clean room in a good location at a very good price for Prague."  Steven Hurley, December 2004.
