Details- The
Hotel U Zlatné Studne sits at the foot of the Prague Castle complex and
offers commanding views over the city's spires. While it's a bit of
an uphill walk to get to, it is located at the end of a cobble stone lane
in a quite corner of Prague. The top floor of the hotel is a restaurant
(photo upper right) where you can enjoy your breakfast while taking in the panoramic
views. In the warm months you can also enjoy a meal on the outdoor
terrace overlooking the baroque gardens, buildings and fountains below the
castle.
Notes- This
historic 16th century renaissance building was converted to a luxurious hotel with 17 double rooms and 3 suites. Rooms in the
small charming hotel have 17th - 19th century reproduction antique
furnishings. Many rooms have unique wood beamed ceilings. You
will also encounter some half-timbered walls in the public spaces.
Some of the double rooms are a bit small, but all rooms have lovely
bedding. The hotel also is air-conditioned and offers amenities
such as safes and mini-bars. The bathrooms have beautiful fixtures
including Jacuzzi tubs with hand showers.
Quotes-
"Hotel
U Zlate Studne was fantastic. It was conveniently located and quiet.
We were at most a 5-minute walk from the Charles Bridge. Our suite
was beautiful and spacious, with windows opening onto the Lederburg
Gardens and views of the city of Prague. The breakfasts were large
and full of choices and again a glorious view of the city.
We would highly recommend this hotel!" Diane and Irene M.,
