Details- How
about an architect remodel of an old tavern in a darling tiny town right
under the local Château? I think that's not too much to ask!
And we found it here in Eguisheim, just a few miles from Colmar. There is
no restaurant on site (the family owns a restaurant 7 miles away), but the
small town square location makes it an easy walk to a variety of
choices. The 12 rooms are modern with beautiful baths and all the
amenities you need, and are styled with innovative new materials as well
as old timbers and exposed stone walls.
Notes-
Room
12 is the largest and most expensive featuring a whirlpool bath, and rooms
8 and 9 offer views of the Chateau. The smallest rooms are 3 & 7, and
might be better for a single traveler.
Quotes-
"I love the mix of old and new that this place offers, and the
tiny village square is a perfect setting." Roger Tinsman,
March 2002.
