Details- The Central Hotel in Beaune just barely made our recommendation list. Its prime location on the town square and gourmet restaurant with extensive wine list are what allowed us to include it. There are 20 rooms that range from down right small and inexpensive to a larger and overpriced. All in all we felt that the rooms and halls were very generic and in real need of updating.

Notes- If you are not looking for charm, but rather just a room that's comfortable, clean and in a great location, then this hotel is a fine option for you. When making a reservation, be certain to be very specific about what you need. Rooms have a varying number and sizes of beds, showers or baths, and air conditioning or not. All of these things influence the price. Parking is available for an extra daily charge. A special time to visit is Saturday morning when the weekly market takes place right outside your door.
