Details- This country inn is located only 10 minutes away from the Medieval city of Carcassone and is a small slice of luxury. While staying in the old town of Carcassone is a wonderful experience, staying away from the tourist crush can be an equally nice treat. This small hotel has the amenities for a week long stay, including a lovely pool, club house, tennis court and an exercise room with sauna. The lobby and restaurant are located in the former stables of the château and meals are cooked on a traditional open fire.

Notes- While the rooms vary in size and style they all incorporate antiques and most of them have four poster beds or a fabric coronet. The rooms below 100 Euros are a bit older but still beautiful and completely adequate if you are on a budget. For a bit of luxury get a superior room in the 100-140 Euro range or a suite for about 155 Euros. A couple of the best rooms have a balcony. All of the newer rooms have beautifully remolded bathrooms and some feature both a bath and a shower. All of the rooms have telephone, TV, safe and hairdryer.
