This hotel is
located in the very quaint town of Chenonceaux.
The entire town is an easy walk from the hotel as well as the Chateau de
Chenonceaux, known to be the most beautiful in all of the Loire. Famous
past guests include Eleanor Roosevelt and Churchill.
Sophie and Laurent Fiorito own and operate the hotel. The hotel has a very cute restaurant, an outdoor patio that
is jumping in the summer months, and an outdoor swimming pool.
There are 16 rooms and one apartment.
Each room has a unique décor and all of the rooms vary in size.
Room 9 (Chambre Rose, above) is a very spacious room with a separate sitting
area. Room 14 (blue room) has a king bed
and is non-smoking. Rooms 21, 22, 23 and 24 share
a common terrace looking over the outdoor patio and have new noise reduction
windows. Of the four, 22 and 23 are
larger rooms. All rooms have a
television and telephone. Some
rooms can accommodate up to 4 guests. Easy
on site parking is available. The hotel does close for a short while in the
winter months.
Notes- Laurent is very proud of his establishment and the many great reviews it has received. Some rooms have a separate toilet room that is oddly placed. This hotel is an excellent value, splurge and ask for a larger room. It is important to note that air conditioning is being added to the rooms and you may request a non-smoking room. In 2005 the hotel is starting to convert queen beds to king size and doubles to queen. The rooms are on the upper floor and there is no elevator.
