Details- This
authentic French chateau is located right on the Loire River just steps from the
city center of Amboise. This is an excellent base for visiting
many chateaux in the Loire Valley. Each of the 14 rooms offers views of the
river and the Chateau of Amboise. There is a lovely garden and terrace
where you can enjoy a drink. The public spaces are all quite elegant and refined.
The tradition rooms are on the top floor and have timbered ceilings
and a quaint attic type atmosphere. The deluxe rooms and the Prestige suites
are on the first floor and offer larger windows and spacious sitting
areas. There are standard rooms in the picturesque Rose Pavilion.
All rooms are air conditioned.
Notes- The chateau does not have a restaurant but it is only a short walk to options in the old center of Amboise. The hotel offers internet access in the smoking lounge and robes for use during your stay. The staff is able to help you with day trips or excursions in the Loire Valley including golf, horseback riding, hot air balloon rides and more. This is rated as a four star property.
