Details- This
hotel is located on a busy street in the Latin Quarter just across from Ile de
la Cite, but you would never know it once you walk through the front
door. It was completely redone in 2002 and is absolutely lovely.
Tile floors, soothing green walls, antiques, beautiful art and a large
limestone fireplace fill the spacious lobby. Top off the decor with
dramatic lighting and you realize this is a step above the many 3 star
hotels in Paris. The cares of the street dissolve as you go through the lobby and up to
your room.
Notes- The
rooms are just as beautiful and include wonderful fabrics on the beds and
windows. Most of the rooms are spacious and all include a desk and chair, closet, TV, safe, mini bar, air conditioning and
wonderful sound proofing. The bathrooms are sophisticated and modern
with all amenities including towel
warmers. The best rooms are those that face the street and offer
views over the top of a Gothic church. While the hotel does not have
a bar or restaurant, you are only a short walk from the busy Latin
Quarter dinning district.
Quotes-
"We returned in 2004 and this hotel still rates as our top pick
in it's price range." Steven Hurley, September 2004
"We fell in love with this hotel shortly after walking in the
front door." Steven Hurley, June 2003
