Details- This hotel is located in the heart of Saint Germain, not too far from the Orsay Museum, set among designer boutiques and gourmet restaurants.  As you enter the hotel you will feel as though you have slipped back into a 1930s jazz club.  Art deco statues and tables adorn the public areas as well as nice large dark brown leather chairs and couches.  There is in fact an adjoining lounge, referred to as the "Jazz Club", which features many instruments of the era.  The downside for some will be that the scent of tobacco smoke can linger in the air throughout the day.  Breakfast is served in a cute barrel vaulted ceiling, but the tables and chairs could use some updating.

Notes- The rooms do not hold as much charm as the public areas, but are still comfortable and have modern amenities including a safe, air conditioning and cable TV.  The bathrooms have a hair dryer and magnifying mirrors.  Most of the rooms are in the 120-160 Euro range.  There are some unique attic style rooms as well as a duplex room with balcony that are more expensive.

Quotes-  "We have included this hotel for its location and charming public spaces."  Steven Hurley, June 2003.
