Details- This
hotel
is out of the central Parisian tourist area, yet still located in a
charming neighborhood close to parks and with easy access to all of Paris via the
Metro. The 39 room property is owned and managed by an American
woman and her French husband. She has a wealth of local information
which she is happy to impart to you in her cheerful American style, and it
is guaranteed to make your stay memorable. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants
nearby, and the hotel can help arrange day tours if desired. The
breakfast room is tiny (plans are underway for an expansion) or room
service is available at no extra charge. The hotel offers WiFi
access free of charge for the guests to use.
Notes-
The average double rooms are a bit small, so we recommend you splurge
(only a few Euros more) and request one of the large rooms. Most rooms have an enclosed shower,
but larger rooms have a bath. If
you are traveling in the summer, please note that the rooms are not
air
conditioned. What is most important, though, is that all of the rooms
offer
true charm. This is a 2
star property, but the quality and service at this special hotel is definitely
a notch above. It is very difficult to find this personalized
attention in Paris at such a
wonderful price.
Quotes-
"This is a
perfect location to stay in the heart of Paris. An excellent staff is very
accommodating and the rooms are quiet with beautiful paintings and
furnishings. When you step outside you have one of the finest
bakeries in Paris across the street, as well as several wonderful
cafes. The desk is very helpful for information and even had
complimentary champagne waiting for us in our room (honeymoon)!"
Bill and Geniva M. Princeton, NJ November 2004
"We returned to this charming hotel again in 2004 and cannot
say enough nice things about the owners, they truly take care of their
guests." Steven Hurley, September 2004
"This is an excellent choice for someone wanting to explore
true Parisian neighborhood." Steven Hurley, June 2003.
