Details- This small hotel is located in the heart of Paris on the quiet main street of the Ile Saint Louis. This is just about the best location for a hotel in all of Paris, and an easy walk from one of several Metro stops. An RER stop (Saint Michel Notre-Dame) is also located within walking distance providing direct service from the airport (CDG). The small lobby is decorated with stone walls and an exposed beam ceiling. The small rooms are simply decorated and show signs of wear. The breakfast room’s stone vaulted ceiling provides a feeling of antiquity.

Notes- We like the Ile Saint Louis because of its central location and neighborhood atmosphere. This is not our top pick for a hotel in Paris but it is the location that makes it an okay choice. We only recommend this hotel if you can secure one of the rooms on the upper floors that have a balcony. The proprietors, Andree and Guy, are friendly and have a following of repeat guests.
