Details-
La Bastide de Voulonne is by far our favorite special hotel in
Provence. It is in a lovely country setting of the Luberon plain, close
to many hilltop towns.
The lovingly restored 18th century farmhouse surrounding a courtyard is full of the
colors of Provence. A beautiful pool beckons just beyond the outdoor tables
and lavender-lined paths of the shaded terrace. Only 8 rooms and one suite
make this hotel an intimate escape. A small restaurant (Table d'Hôtes) that focuses on
market fresh produce and family recipes serves dinner on Monday, Thursday,
Friday and Saturday. All rooms have TV, phone and private bath and are
non-smoking. Though not air conditioned rooms stay comfortable in the old
stone buildings.
