Details- The Hotel Hackescher Markt is one of our favorite hotels in Berlin. Berlin is full of boring hotel rooms that lack any style and large hotels catering to big business, so finding this reasonably priced intimate feeling hotel was a stroke of luck. It lies just off the Hackescher Markt Square, very convenient to the S Bahn, and a short walk to Museum Island. The Hackescher Markt is in former East Berlin and the revitalization it has seen since the fall of the wall includes lots of interesting shops, restaurants, cafes and nightlife.

Notes- The small lobby of the hotel opens onto the breakfast room and bar area which offer smoking and non-smoking sections. The 32 rooms include 3 suites which are quite large with comfortable seating areas. The double rooms are divided into two categories, standard ("M") and comfort ("L"). The price difference between the two categories is very small so we strongly recommend the "L" category (or suites) for the extra amount of space you get. Non-smoking rooms are available, and if you want one be sure to request it at the time you make your reservation. Please note that the hotel is not air conditioned, but the rooms do have mini bars, safes, etc.. Wireless Internet Access is available for an additional charge. The bathrooms are slightly small and feature shower stalls with curtains.
