Details-
The Myers Hotel comes in at the low end of our ratings, but we felt it did
qualify as a small hotel of charm. It is located near Kollwitzplatz
in the more residential area of Prenzlauer Berg. There is a U-Bahn
stop about 10 minutes away, and even closer are tram and bus stops.
The hotel just opened in 2000 and it is located in a building that dates
back to 1883. There are a couple of nice lounges in the public
spaces of the hotel and also a nice garden room. There are nearby
restaurants for your dining options but no major sights are within
walking distance.
Notes-
The 41 rooms are divided into 8 very confusing categories and
prices. Overall all the rooms include basic amenities such as
cable TV, phone and private bathroom. If you want extras like a
minibar, safe desk and chair, make sure to ask when making your reservation.
The best rooms are located on the upper floor and have the largest beds
(queen and king size) as well as views over the neighborhood. This can be
a fine option if you are looking for a budget hotel away from the
bustle of the city or if you are a frequent visitor to Berlin and want to
become familiar with a neighborhood.
