Located within walking distance to the main train station in Dresden lies the family owned Hotel Kipping. The hotel only opened about 10 years ago, but it
occupies a neo-renaissance style townhouse with a small vineyard on the
property. The main floor of the hotel (Entrance from the parking area on
the side) offers a restaurant and bar open in the evenings (used as the breakfast
room in mornings). All of the main sights in Dresden are within walking
distance, but it will be easier to take the short tram ride to the central
area. If you are driving to Dresden there is private parking just outside
the door. Hotels near train stations can be very impersonal, but the homey feel to this property makes it
worth consideration.

There are 19 rooms and 1 suite in the hotel.
The feeling you might get is like visiting a long lost great aunt still clinging to her art deco pieces. Some of the furniture feels dated and the overall decor includes knick knacks and
struggling house plants. But the tall ceilings give a spacious feel, even in the smaller rooms. The suite is extremely large and includes a small balcony. More money should have been spent on the bathrooms which include a tiny enclosed shower and sparse
amenities. One great perk is that the hotel offer WLAN.
