Details- This hotel is located off a small square just one block from the main pedestrian street in the old town of Heidelberg.  The non-existent lobby is just off the hotel's restaurant with the reception at the entrance of the kitchen.  An elevator leads you up to the charming average size rooms.  Most rooms have a small sitting area.  The beds are typical German style, including down comforters and pillows for each person.  The bathrooms are modern and some feature showers while others offer tubs.  The charm of the rooms is lost when you are in he plain hallways.

Notes- The upper floor is a converted attic with wood beam ceiling.  Some of these rooms though larger in square feet, seem tight with the angled ceilings, room number 303 is a favorite choice.  What's most lacking in this hotel is a lobby, but the restaurant is good and there are many other cafes nearby.

Quotes-A great location in this lively college town.  Cute rooms, once you are past the boring hallways.”  Steven Hurley, December 2002
