Details-
This hotel is on a mixed residential and commercial
street. Its Victorian facade is a nice relief from all the boxy buildings
you so often find in Munich. The interior lobby is large and well
decorated. There are beautiful wood floors and sleek furniture which give it a comfortably modern feel. There are 2 singles, 15 doubles
and 11 apartments. The lobby as well as all of the rooms receive a large
amount of light and the colors used throughout the hotel give it a nice airy
feel. Rooms that face the street get more light but rooms that face the
back overlook a courtyard. The rooms are good sized and include queen
size beds, sitting areas, desks, closets, mini bars, TV, telephone and
soundproof windows. The bathrooms have modern fixtures and include hairdryers
as well as lovely extra amenities.
Notes- As with many hotels in Germany, there is no air conditioning which can be difficult in a rare German heat wave. The hotel attracts a mix of straight and gay clientele since it is near Munich's gay cafes and bars. The biggest down side to this lovely hotel is its distance to a U-Bahn. Although it is located between two stops, it is short hike to either, which can be tough if you are not arriving by car. Parking is available for a fee.
