Details-
This hotel has 95 rooms making it larger than
most than we recommend, but we have included it because of its excellent
location in the city center. It is within a 5 minute walk from the
Marienplatz (town square) where it is very difficult to find a nice room that
does not come with an outrageous price tag. The other things that appeal
to us here are the mix of Old World and modern charm, and the fact that it has
been family owned for over 100 years.
Notes- Though larger than we typically recommend, this hotel offers many advantages such as a coffee shop and an Italian restaurant on the premises and concierge service. Several more typical Bavarian restaurants within easy walking distance. All the rooms have typical Bavarian down comforters and duvets, with lovely wood accents, TV, phone, desk and chair and a hair dryer. The deluxe rooms are larger and also include a minibar and coffee and tea making facilities. The large breakfast room offers a beautiful start to your day. Note that this is a 4 star property.
