Details- The Hotel Rochari is located on the hill above the the old town of Mykonos, a 10 minute walk to the port below.  The hotel is comprised of several small 2 story buildings that stagger lazily down the hill, giving the impression of a mini-resort.  Due to the nature of the hill, there are a few stairs throughout the property and no elevators are available.  The hotel's rooms have sweeping views over the town, the Aegean Sea and beyond to the island of Delos.  All of the 60 rooms (with the exception of 3) have balconies or terraces to enjoy the views.  The large pool offers a break from the summer heat and the pool bar serves drinks well into the night.  Remember that Mykonos is known for it's nightlife!  The veranda cafe offers light meals throughout the day.  Many of its offerings are grown on the hotel's local farm, like the olives that are picked from the trees on the hotel property.

Notes- Typical of the Greek islands, the rooms are white plaster with tiled floors and a light airy feel about the simple furnishings.  Each of the rooms has direct dial phone, mini fridge, hair dryer, cable TV and air conditioning.  Other services offered by the hotel are room and laundry service, fax and internet possibilities and a small parking lot should you decide to rent a car.  The biggest drawback of the hotel is the size of the small bathrooms.

Quotes-  "Loved Rochari Hotel. Fantastic balcony!  Saw breath taking sunsets.  Slept with our doors open.  Wonderful cross breeze."  Debbie B., Elk Grove, CA June 2005

"The Rochari Hotel in Mykonos was quiet but close to sights.  The pool and the view from our balcony were beautiful." Jay and Linda T., Carmichael CA June 2005

"There is no need to go into the charming town of Mykonos, when you could spend your entire vacation right here at the hotel."  Steven Hurley, March 2004.

"I loved the balconies and the view."  Laura W. Sacramento, CA June 2005
