– Beautifully situated overlooking the Marina Piccola and il Faraglioni,
this Hotel cascades down the hillside toward the
sea. A fabulous heated pool with cabana striped lounges and an American
bar occupies enviable real estate overlooking the Mediterranean, perfect for
whiling away an afternoon or balmy evening. This is an expensive hotel for
our recommendations, but it should be noted that it is a four star property, and
run
by Vincenzo and his wife in a gracious, informal, and efficient way.
The rooms offer all amenities (color TV, mini bar, private baths) and have air conditioning and terrace or private balcony. Suites have whirlpool baths and lots of space. Be sure to eat in the restaurant with its unbeatable combination of elegant decor, polished service and warm welcome that only a family-owned establishment can offer. Sip a glass of Prosecco as you study the menu - if you aren't too distracted by the view of Marina Piccola and the cliffs beyond.
Notes- The price is not exorbitant for what you get, but this hotel is definitely a splurge, as is the whole island. You must reserve far in advance if you are coming during the summer months.
