Details-
This hotel was originally a villa built in 1823. Once you enter the
almost hidden and unpretentious door you will realize that this is a four star gem.
The friendly staff greets you at the front desk which opens to the lobby
featuring large columns, a beautiful fireplace and leather furniture.
Just beyond your eyes are drawn to majestic Lake Como and the mountains
across the lake. The breakfast room has indoor seating as well as a large
flower covered patio only a few feet from the lake. You can also enjoy the
patio and its view for a light lunch, ice cream or an afternoon drink.
Notes- The rooms are just as much of a treat. Our favorites (10, 11 and 12) are large rooms with sitting areas. Rich fabrics are carefully coordinated throughout the rooms which are named for flowers. Little extras like candy, bottled water and lovely toiletries help you to settle in. What's most special about these rooms is just outside the glass door. Your patio, nearly the size of the room, is perched only a few feet above the lake. The other rooms in the hotel are just as nice, but not as large and have small balconies. If you plan ahead, you can arrange for an in room massage if you wish!
