Details-
This hotel is located in the heart of San Gimignano just a short walk from the
main square, and has been run by the same family since 1886.
The hotel's best feature is the stunning view seen from the rooms on the back.
All 21 rooms have TV, heating and air
conditioning. While the overall feel of the hotel itself is Old World, the
rooms feature a mix and match collection of contemporary inexpensive furniture,
almost "shabby chic". The restaurant also has wonderful views
and serves Tuscan specialties accompanied by Chianti wines. Siena (30 minutes), the vineyards of Chianti (30
minutes), Florence (1 hour) and Assisi (2 hours) are easy day trips from here.
Notes- The price of rooms is determined by their view. The lowest priced rooms face the street and higher priced rooms offer views of the countryside. Some view rooms have a small balcony and 3 of them share a very large terrace. Unfortunately the hotel will not guarantee you a room with a balcony.
