Details This 16th century palace turned into a hotel in the year 2000.  The small hotel has twelve rooms and two junior suites.  The classic rooms feature wood beam ceilings while the superior rooms have original 18th century frescoed ceilings.  One of the junior suites has an upper mezzanine and a large bathroom with wide bathtub.  The junior suites cost about the same as a standard room in many other hotels in Venice.  There is a small charming breakfast room and a small outside garden on a tiny canal.  While they offer a bar in the hotel, there is no restaurant, but there are several options close by.

Notes-  The hotel is located near Palazzo San Barnaba and only a short distance from the Ca'Rezzonico stop of the vaporetto line 1.  (There is also a traghetto stop at the end of the street.)  This location makes getting to the main sights a little difficult but the advantage is that there are fewer tourists here and the prices in the nearby shops are lower than in more touristy areas.

Quotes- "This hotel is a little of the beaten path for Venice, if you don't mind a little extra walking or using the water busses, this is a very charming choice at a good price.”  Steven Hurley, June 2002
