London has it all - history, shopping, theater, art, royalty…you name it and this world-renowned capitol of Great Britain has it, and more of it than almost anywhere else in the world. Combine that with the fact that flights to this city from the US are usually the least expensive of all European destinations and there’s really no reason you aren’t starting your trip right now! We recommend that you allow a minimum of 3 days.
London's Neighborhoods
Notting Hill and Portobello Road- Antiques and lovely gentrified leafy street residences.
Soho- Party central especially for the gay scene, and an international mix of shops and restaurants.
Kensington- Kensington Palace, former home of Diana, now of Princess Margaret & Michael.
City of London- The British version of Wall Street belies its ancient Roman founding. Fires (1666) bombs (WWII & IRA) and modern developers have all but erased the past. Only 1-mile square.
Piccadilly Circus & Leicester Square- Britain’s Times Square complete with neon and theater.
Knightsbridge- Shopping at Harrods’s anyone? London’s most fashionable neighborhood.
Bayswater and Kensignton- A bit more residential with easy access to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park.

The British Museum- You could spend days and not see it all. If you go, give it at least a half day.
